Honors College (UH) courses are optional, but allow students to pursue courses that focus on critical real-world issues and allow motivated students to embrace hands-on learning across a variety of academic disciplines.⁠

Approaches to Honors

Honors academic requirements can be completed through three distinct approaches. These approaches follow the four Honors Academic Requirements but in slightly different ways. Students should carefully consider and choose the approach that is right for them. 

Presidential Global Scholars

Presidential Global Scholars (PGS) is a full spring semester study abroad program at Virginia Tech's own Villa Maderni at the Steger Center for International Scholarship in Riva San Vitale, Switzerland. This exceptional opportunity allows students to earn their Honors diploma through an immersive cultural experience.

SuperStudio is a signature, studio-based Honors College (UH) course opportunity.
